  • Kirkland Kiwanis member George Fouch has provided us with a 40 foot trailer to house our donations. We so appreciate George stepping up and handling all aspects of this important part of this year’s effort. Thank you again.
  • A very special thanks to Bernard and MEGA Brands America, Inc. for another unbelievably generous donation of toys. We had a request from the front lines that our troops want to give toys to the Afghan and Iraqi children on Christmas morning to promote peace. Bernard, a veteran, more than met this need both last year and now again this year. MEGA Brands’ generosity will be felt in all 7,000 of these precious boxes. What a beautiful way to promote peace. Thank you.
  • SENECA knew what our goals were this year and met them Big Time! 5,000 bags of chips just arrived and we are thrilled! Seneca’s apple chips continue to be one of the most enjoyed items the troops receive. Having Seneca for the sixth year with us here on the front lines at home means more than you could know. Thank you! Thank you! v
  • Tim’s Cascade Potato Chips, for the sixth year, sent the Northwest’s favorite potato chips. WOW! What a generous donation and so much appreciated by the troops. With your donation of 2,000 bags we will meet our goal this year. Thank you so much, once again, for your long-term support.
  • Archie Wabschall of Office Max, Totem Lake, has generously met all of our printing needs for this entire project! For two years they have stepped up to the plate and contributed the very best printing around! They are awesome and unbelievably generous. Together let’s shop Office Max in Totem Lake and let them know how much we appreciate them. You guys rock!
  • We thank John Curley and Saint Bryan of Evening Magazine for the coverage and the segment they ran on Operation Iraq last week. Getting the word out through our favorite TV show certainly helps us tremendously. You are always welcome to stop by and see our progress. You guys are the greatest!
  • FOX Channel 13′s Susan West and camera man Harry were delightful to have visit our site at Northwest University yesterday. Susan is from a military family and totally understands what these packages mean. Thank you so much for your coverage and continued interest.
  • Roxetta Grohen continues to be the “right hand” of this foundation. Day in and day out she is always there, doing whatever is needed. How can we thank her? Her heart has always understood the real meaning of what we do. What’s not to love? Thank you, Roxetta, so much for seeing this from beginning to end each and every year.
  • Chris Martin of Martin Cartridge and Ribbon, Kirkland, has stepped up to help in any way needed. His ability to generate interest among our knitters to make small patriotic afghans has been really appreciated. They will be used to cover our wounded soldiers while being transported. We really enjoy having you onboard this year.
  • North Sound Christian Schools of Lynnwood and Mountlake Terrace have chosen to make Operation Iraq their charity of choice this year. Thank you so much to the administration and students, who are now busy with artwork and collecting needed items for us. We welcome them on board this year.
  • Thank you to Ben NyQuist who came in full uniform to speak to Cedar Park Christian School and church last week. He was able to convey to the students and congregation what it was like to be away from home at Christmas and receive one of these special boxes. He made a real impact on everyone. We thank you so much for taking time for us, Ben.
  • Colleen Tiberio, first grade teacher at Wilder Elementary, sent wonderful letters to our soldiers written by her class. Nadine Meyers, of the Care & Share Club at Wilder sent lots of candy to be included with the letters. This is the second year Wilder has participated and we really appreciate it.
  • We thank Scott Winters, who came in full uniform to Cedar Park Assembly of God, and spoke to the congregation about what Christmas packages from home have meant to him while serving overseas. We know Scott is continuing to support us through his junior high classes.
  • “We would like to thank Woodridge Elementary for hosting a dance for the soldiers! The students ticket into the dance will be item from our wish list! Yeah!”
