The Raytheon Award
In May 2004, Ruth Ann Young traveled to Washington, D.C. to accept a Raytheon Program Achievement Award on behalf of Operation Iraq-Afghanistan: The Spirit of Christmas for best use of volunteers. More than 200 dignitaries, honorees and invited guests took part in the gala recognition luncheon at the Cannon House Office Building. The Raytheon Awards are a program of the Armed Services YMCA.
